Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and director Rohit Shetty have joined forces for an adrenaline-pumping thriller series titled “Indian Police Force.” The dynamic duo, accompanied by actors Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi, is actively immersed in the promotional whirlwind.
In an intriguing revelation, Shilpa Shetty disclosed that the roots of her collaboration with Rohit Shetty date back 14 years when she was initially approached for one of the iconic Golmaal films.
During a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Shilpa delved into the backstory of her connection with filmmaker Rohit Shetty. She unveiled that their bond can be traced to the friendship between their fathers. Shilpa’s father had previously assisted Rohit’s father in the film “Yaadon Ki Baaraat,” where he played a role in the action team. This connection became the unseen thread that wove their destinies together.
Sharing an interesting tidbit, Shilpa humorously expressed to Rohit that their collaboration was preordained. She stated, “We were supposed to work even 14 years ago; he had approached me for Golmaal. But I had just won Big Brother and was traveling, he was doing his things.”
Despite the missed opportunity in the past, Shilpa conveyed her enthusiasm for the current collaboration, acknowledging the disappointment of not being a part of Golmaal back then. She remarked, “I was so gutted because when you see a brand becoming so big, you wish you were in the movie. But I am glad we are doing this amazing project together now.”
This revelation adds a fascinating layer to the upcoming “Indian Police Force” series, making it a rendezvous of destiny and a testament to the enduring connection between two Bollywood powerhouses.
